21st meeting of the Wadden Sea Board in Vester Vedsted (DK)
On 17 November 2017, the three national delegations of Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands as well as advisors from the Wadden Sea Forum and the NGOs Waddenvereniging and WWF met for the 21st meeting of the Wadden Sea Board (WSB 21). The meeting was held in the re-opened Vadehavscentret in Vester Vedsted, Denmark, which hosts an award-winning exhibition on migratory birds and the Wadden Sea. The Board discussed customary agenda topics such as the state of implementation of the Tønder Declaration, various areas of the Trilateral Wadden Sea Cooperation and the Task Groups reports to the Board. Further, the current developments of the partnership centre were presented. A focus was laid on the preparations for the next Trilateral Governmental Conference, to be held in May 2018 in Leeuwarden, Netherlands.
The next Wadden Sea Board meeting is scheduled for 2 February 2018.
